Success of Chandrayaan-3 one of the most important achievements of 21st century: Dharmendra Pradhan

New Delhi: Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan launched the web portal 'Apna Chandrayaan' in New Delhi which provides activity-based support materials such as quizzes, puzzles etc. for school students on Mission Chandrayaan-3. It has been developed by NCERT under the aegis of Department of School Education and Literacy (DOSEL), Ministry of Education.

He also released 10 special modules on Chandrayaan-3, which comprehensively talk about its various aspects – including scientific, technological and social aspects as well as the emotional journey and team spirit of the scientists involved in this mission. Has also been told.

ISRO Chairman and Secretary, Department of Space, Dr. Sridhar Panikkar Somnath graced the program as the guest of honour. In this program, Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department, Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of Higher Education Department, K. Sanjay Murthy, Atul Kumar Tiwari of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, AICTE Chairman Professor T.G. Sitaram, UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadish Kumar, Director, NCERT, Dr. Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Education Ministry officials, dignitaries and students were also present.

A short film on the journey of Chandrayaan-3 was shown in the programme. Creative expressions by the students in the form of photo frames were presented to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor and poetry was recited by the students on Chandrayaan-3.

Addressing the program, Shri Pradhan described the success of Chandrayaan-3 as one of the most important achievements of the 21st century, which has inspired the children of the country the most. He suggested developing an APP of this web portal to facilitate self-education among students and make it more accessible. He said Chandrayaan-3 has instilled confidence in the students and inspired them to understand technology, which will help in developing scientific consciousness among them.

He thanked Dr. Somnath for inspiring the students and equipping them with confidence. He also told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested Dr. Somnath to convey the stories of Chandrayaan 3 to the children of the country. He also explained in detail about the tasks assigned to Dr. Somnath by the Prime Minister, which include establishment of orbital space station, development of next generation launch vehicles etc. He also urged them to make science entertaining for students.
