New Delhi: Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju alleged that due to the negligence and bad policies of the Congress, which was in power for years, Manipur has become like this today. During the debate on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rijiju said that the spark of the struggle taking place in Manipur is not of the present but the result of the state being left to fend for years. After the formation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, no terrorist group has emerged in Manipur. Accusing the opposition of misleading the country, he claimed that more than 8,000 militants have surrendered in the Northeast after Mr. Modi became the prime minister. Attacking the Congress, he said that due to your bad policies Manipur has become like this today. You left them to their fate.
