Bhopal: Before the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP has suffered a major setback. Sitting BJP MLA Brijendra Singh Raghuvanshi resigned from the party on Thursday. Brijendra Singh Raghuvanshi said in a letter to BJP State President VD Sharma, "With a heavy heart today I am resigning from the membership of the BJP and the State Working Committee." I have been expressing my concerns to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the last five years. But, he did not do anything.

Raghuvanshi, MLA from Kolaras assembly seat in Shivpuri district, alleged in his official letter-pad that ever since Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the BJP, he has been alienated from the party. Raghuvanshi wrote in his letter, corrupt officers have been appointed in Kolaras and Shivpuri. This is happening at the behest of Jyotiraditya Scindia. My supporters are being continuously harassed.

He said, Scindia had joined the BJP claiming that the Congress had failed to fulfill the promises made to the farmers. However, after joining the BJP, he did not say anything about the farmers, the letter said. I have been sidelined for working sincerely for the party since 2014. Raghuvanshi also alleged that commissionism is flourishing in the BJP government and when questioned, the minister in charge of the Gwalior-Chambal region says that prasad will have to be offered in the temple. He further alleged that farmers' money deposited in cooperative banks in Shivpuri and across the state was siphoned off by a strong nexus of politicians and officials.
