The applicant Abhishek Rajput filed a report in Azad Chowk police station that he has been working as an accountant in Shivam Publication Tatyapara Chowk Azad Chowk Raipur for the last 08 years. On the night of 28.02.2025, all the employees closed the shop and went to their respective homes, and on the morning of 01.03.2025, when the shop was opened, the cash kept in the front cash counter and owner's cabin and the sales amount of about Rs 1,30,000 was missing. An unknown thief climbed the back wall of the shop and stole the cash from above.


He entered the shop through the hole of the adjustable fan and stole the goods kept in the counters of the shop. On the complaint of the applicant, a case was registered against the unknown accused in Azad Chowk Police Station under Crime No. 60/25 Section 331(4), 305 BNS. Taking the theft incident seriously, Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh directed Additional Superintendent of Police West D.R. Porte, Additional Superintendent of Police Crime Sandeep Mittal, City Superintendent of Police Azad Chowk Aman Kumar Jha (IPS), Incharge Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Police Station Incharge Azad Chowk to trace the unknown accused and arrest him as soon as possible.

Under the guidance of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and Azad Chowk Police Station inspected the crime scene and started investigating the unknown accused by questioning the shop owner, applicant, employees working in the shop and people around the scene in detail. The team members were observing the footage of CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene and around it and also were trying to identify the accused by using informers in the case. Along with doing technical analysis regarding the investigation of the unknown accused, information was also collected about old accused of theft and their activities were being monitored after verifying them.


During this time, the team members traced and caught a juvenile who had earlier committed a theft on the basis of the same modus operandi. On interrogation, he confessed to committing the theft along with his another friend. His friend, who is also a juvenile who is in conflict with the law, was also traced and caught. On the basis of their information, stolen cash amounting to Rs. 1,36,750/- and the Ranger cycle used in the crime were seized from their possession and action was taken against both of them. Inspector Jitendra Tamrakar, in-charge of Azad Chowk Police Station, Inspector Paresh Kumar Pandey from Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit, Sub Inspector Premraj Barik, PR Vijay Kumar Patel, R. Tikam Sahu, Rakesh Pandey, Abhishek Singh, Shivam Mishra and Sub Inspector Manoj Lakra, R. Sachit Sharma and Bhojram Sonwani from Azad Chowk Police Station played an important role in the action.
