Sarangarh-Bilaigarh An uncontrolled bus hit two bike riders in Saliha police station area of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district on Wednesday, killing both of them on the spot. The accident took place near Gardih Mod Parsapali. The
deceased have been identified as Dhananjay Chaudhary (50 years) and Ajay Chaudhary (30 years), who were residents of Keshpur Pachpedi police station Basna. They were going towards Saliha on a motorcycle (number CG 06 K 7042), when an Adarsh bus (number CG 10 BV 0533) coming from the front hit them directly due to careless driving.
According to police station in-charge Amrit Bhargava, the collision was so severe that both the bike riders were seriously injured. They died while being taken for treatment. After the incident, the bus driver fled from the spot, but Basna police station surrounded him and caught him.
The police have started the investigation by establishing a case. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the area due to the accident and the family members are inconsolable.
