On the occasion of National Science Day, an educational science center has been started on the initiative of the district administration in JD Colony Circuit House Road, Dantewada headquarters. Basically, its objective is not only to impart science education to the students but also to develop a scientific attitude in children, make them experimental, and awaken the possibilities of new inventions in them. The aim is to awaken interest in science in them by introducing them to the field of modern science and technology. Through this educational center, students will undoubtedly get an interesting platform for scientific education, which will make their education and knowledge more experimental and practical.
Students will be introduced to new inventions in space knowledge, physics, biology, mining, industry, agriculture and environment, Maker Hub:
Dantewada, a district known for its rich tribal culture and natural beauty, is now making a new identity in the field of science and innovation. A science center is being established here with the aim of developing scientific thinking among the students and increasing their interest in science. Under science, space knowledge, physics room, biology room, mining room, industrial room, agriculture and environment, maker hub, training room are being developed here. Students will not only observe the various scientific models, experiments and demonstrations displayed in the center but will also be able to find solutions to their queries by using them.
The interactive models, digital displays and laboratories placed in the centre will provide children with an opportunity to understand science in a lively way, instead of limiting it to textbooks. This initiative will prove to be a milestone in the scientific development of not only the children of the district but the entire region. This science centre will inspire the coming generations towards science and lead them towards new discoveries and innovations with curiosity and creativity.
In this sequence, today on 28th February, on the occasion of Science Day, as per the guidance of Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Jayant Nahata, students studying in various Pota Cabins of the district attended the newly established Science Centre and cooperated in setting up the Science Centre. They got to know and understood various models related to Space Knowledge, Physics Room, Biology Room, Mining Room, Industrial Room, Agriculture and Environment, Maker Hub, Training Room. The students told on the spot that it was a very good experience; the things which we used to see only in books, today we got a chance to see and feel them in front of us; apart from this, seeing new science related models felt like a dream.
The special attractions of the Science Centre will be scientific theme based rooms and experimental experiences:
If we focus on the features of this science center, then there are rooms based on different themes like ''Industry'', ''Physics'', ''Immersive'', ''Miniworld'', ''Harvest Hub'', ''Robo Arena'', which will help children to understand various scientific subjects in depth. These rooms are designed to enhance their experiential knowledge. In these, in the Industry Room, students can understand the development of industries through the timeline of industrial development. There will also be a 3D printing zone, where there will be three different types of 3D printers. Also, ''Dog Robot'', ''Humanoid Robot'', ''Spider Robot'', ''Writing Robot'' and ''Path-Guided Industry Robots'' will also be displayed. Similarly, in the ''Physics'' room, children will be able to learn the basic principles of physics through ''hands-on'' experiments. Apart from this, the ''Immersive'' room will have a 360 digital space, where children can experience the virtual world. The ''Miniworld Room'' will have an 8Û4 feet ''HO Scale Train Miniature'' set, which will depict both village and city scenes. Various agricultural techniques will be demonstrated through the ''Harvest Hub'' (Farming Zone), which will be useful for farmers and students.
Also, the exciting and unique experience of robot war in the "Robo Arena" will take the students to a different celestial world. Here, students will be able to make their own robots and get them to do the "Robo War" activity. This will be an exciting and educational activity, which will introduce children to the world of "robotics and automation". It is known that the work of this project has been entrusted to "Hidden Lamp Private Limited", which is working to make it a modern and "interactive" science center. Overall, this science center will become an important educational center for the children of Dantewada, which will help them in increasing their interest in science and technology and introducing them to new technologies.
