NEW DELHI: India's industrial production grew 5.7% in July, official data showed on Tuesday.
Factory production, measured by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), increased by 2.2% in July 2022.
Data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) show that manufacturing output increased by 4.6% in July 2023. Mining output increased 10.7% this month. Electricity generation increased by 8% in July 2023.
The IIP grew by 4.8 per cent in April-July 2023 compared to 10 per cent in the same period of 2022.
