  Rajnandgaon    In the presence of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Mayor and councilors of 51 wards of Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon was organized at Padmashree Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium Rajnandgaon on Saturday. On this historic occasion, Collector Sanjay Agarwal administered the oath to the newly elected Mayor Madhusudan Yadav to work with dedication.

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Collector Sanjay Agarwal first administered the oath to 19 women councilors. After this, the councilors of other 32 wards were sworn in. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said in his address that the public representatives who have been selected by the public for the urban body, today with the choice, cooperation, support and blessings of the public, 51 councilors have been elected and sworn in here. They have a passion and enthusiasm to work, who will work to provide electricity, water, cleanliness, other facilities and to keep their wards clean in every street and locality of the city in the next five years. Rajnandgaon will become a clean city under the leadership of the Mayor and all the councillors.



Mayor Madhusudan Yadav has received everyone's support and blessings. He extended his hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the councillors of 51 wards. He said that councillorship is the first step to enter politics in life. From the post of councillor, you all can become Chief Minister and even Central Minister. He told that he himself started his political journey from the post of councillor. He said that the post of councillor is a big responsibility and the responsibility of development and cleanliness of urban bodies is on all of you and it is the beginning of a new life. Let all of us together take a pledge to develop the city and contribute in making the city clean and beautiful.



Mayor Madhusudan Yadav said that we will live up to the trust with which the public has elected us. When our tenure will come to an end, you will see a changed Rajnandgaon city. We will fulfill the expectations and trust of the public with responsibility and activeness. He said that we will work committedly for the development of the city and urban bodies through the schemes of the central and state government. With the support of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, MP Santosh Pandey and everyone, we will take forward the vision of a better Rajnandgaon. On this occasion, MP Rajnandgaon Santosh Pandey, MP Mahasamund Smt. Roopkumar Chaudhary, MLA Durg Gajendra Yadav, Chairman District Cooperative Central Bank Sachin Baghel, former MLA Vinod Khandekar, Ramji Bharti, Komal Singh Rajput, former District Panchayat Chairman Smt. Geeta Sahu, Ramesh Patel, Neelu Sharma, Bharat Verma, Vikrant Singh, Santosh Agarwal, Dinesh Gandhi, Rajendra Golchha, Saurabh Kothari, Bhavesh Baid, Suresh H Lal, Radheshyam Gupta, former Mayor Smt. Hema Deshmukh, Naresh Dakliya, Collector Sanjay Agarwal, Superintendent of Police Mohit Garg, councilors of all 51 wards of Municipal Corporation Rajnandgaon, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present.
