Raipur police and cyber teams have arrested 62 people in the last two days by conducting raids in 3 states including Chhattisgarh. These include cyber fraudsters as well as those who gave their accounts to the fraudsters in exchange for commission. Out of the three states, raids have been conducted in Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund in Chhattisgarh. The accused have been brought to the court after being loaded on a bus.

These accused have committed cyber fraud of more than 84 crore rupees from people. Not only this, more than 14 hundred FIRs have been registered against them across the country. Among them, three are of Nigerian origin. The accounts of all the accused have been put on hold, in which 2 crore rupees of fraud is still lying. More than 1100 mule bank accounts were investigated in the cyber crime portal. In the investigation, the victims were identified and information was collected from them regarding the incident. On the basis of cyber crime portal reports, transactions in bank accounts, more than one bank account and other technical evidence, people who used cyber crime tools like opening bank accounts and digital arrest of accounts, share trading fake apps, investing in crypto currency, Google review task, Telegram task, bank KYC update and Google search were identified. 62 accused arrested: More than 20 separate teams of more than 100 police officers/personnel of Range Cyber ​​Police Station, Anti Crime and Cyber ​​Unit and various police stations of Raipur were formed and the accused were traced and arrested. Apart from this, when the mule bank account was found to be in someone else's name and the accused were connected to it through interrogation and technical evidence, a total of 62 accused including agents were arrested. 1435 reports filed against the accused in police stations of various states: An amount of about Rs 2 crore of fraud has been held in the accounts of the accused, which belongs to victims of various states, who will be contacted and their money will be returned. An order has been obtained from the Hon'ble Court to return the amount of Rs. 4 crore held in the first layer bank account to the victims in the frauds committed in the last 6 months, in which more than Rs. 2 crore has already been returned to the victims. 1435 reports have been filed against the arrested accused in various police stations of different states of the country. Investigation of the crime of Rs. 1.6 crore committed by the accused has revealed a total fraud of Rs. 84.88 crore. 03 foreign Nigerian citizens are also included among the accused:

Among the arrested accused, 03 are foreign Nigerian citizens and residents of Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund including Rajasthan and Odisha. During interrogation of the accused, names of many more people have come to light who used these bank accounts for cheating. In the second phase, all those accused will be arrested. All these accused used to provide their bank accounts on rent basis and some people used to provide on the basis of 10 to 20 percent commission from the amount of cheating. Cyber ​​team is also continuously getting information from the bank about such mule accounts, in which large amounts or unusual transactions are taking place. In the coming time, many more people will be arrested in this.
