Hardoi . A gang involved in cheating during the board examination has been exposed in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. The team of the Special Task Force (STF) of the police arrested 14 people while solving the 10th class question paper in the house of the principal of an examination center and recovered 20 answer sheets from them. The number of arrests in this case has increased to 19.
How was it revealed?
This case is related to the English subject examination in the morning shift of the Uttar Pradesh Board Examination on Friday. The STF team got information that the examination paper was being solved in the house of a principal. During the raid, 14 people were caught writing on the answer sheets, including five men and nine women. One of these accused described himself as a teacher of the school.
Apart from this, a raid was also conducted in Jai Subhash Mahabali Inter College, Dalel Nagar, where two women were caught solving the question paper outside the examination center.
Action by officials
In this case, on the instructions of District School Inspector (DIOS) Balmukund Prasad, the administrators and static magistrates of both the examination centers are being changed. Apart from this, examination center in-charge Ram Milan, examination in-charge Manish Singh and a teacher have also been arrested.
DIOS Balmukund Prasad said that this solver gang was doing organized work to cheat in the examination. STF caught 16 solvers in this case, out of which 14 were caught at one place and two others outside the examination center. Interrogation of all the arrested accused is going on and the seized answer sheets and question papers have been sealed.
Further action
In view of this entire incident, a letter has been sent to the higher officials recommending action against the center administrators, external administrators and static magistrates of the examination centers.
This revelation in Hardoi district has raised questions on the transparency and administrative strictness of the board examination. The administration has assured that strict monitoring and strict action will be taken to prevent such incidents in future.
