Dhaka/New Delhi Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been convicted of contempt of court and sentenced to six months in jail. The International Crimes Tribunal has announced the sentence. A three-member bench gave this verdict on Wednesday. According to Bangladeshi media, the bench of the International Criminal Court was headed by Justice Mohammad Ghulam Murtaza Majumdar. This is the first time that Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to jail in any case.
