In an engaging dialogue celebrating art, heritage, and storytelling, celebrity filmmaker, director, and actor Padma Shri Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his Residence Office in Raipur today.


Welcoming the veteran director with warmth and traditional hospitality, Chief Minister Shri Sai felicitated Dr. Dwivedi by presenting him with a shawl and a memento. The two held insightful discussions on a wide spectrum of subjects, including Indian history, timeless literature, indigenous culture, and the transformative power of cinema.

Commending Dr. Dwivedi’s creative journey, Chief Minister Shri Sai observed that Indian cinema and television have long served as vital mediums for introducing historical and cultural legacies to younger generations. He noted that Dr. Dwivedi has uniquely enriched public consciousness through rigorous research, profound cultural sensitivity, and compelling on-screen portrayals.


Recalling the iconic television masterpiece Chanakya, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Dr. Dwivedi’s masterful depiction of Acharya Chanakya’s political philosophy and statesmanship left an indelible mark on viewers across the country. Works of such stature are important for connecting youth to their civilizational roots and foundational national values.

During the conversation, both dignitaries also explored Chhattisgarh’s vibrant tribal traditions, folk literature, and historical legacy. Underlining the state's cultural depth, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh’s rich ethnic mosaic and living folk traditions present immense creative possibilities for researchers and storytellers alike.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for the gracious reception, Dr. Dwivedi appreciated the state's  commitment to preserving its indigenous heritage and promoting cultural arts.
