New Delhi Corona cases are spreading rapidly in India. Till now a total of four variants of Covid-19 were found, LF.7, XFG, JN.1 and NB.1.8.1, but now another variant has increased the tension of the people. Its name is XFG. The worrying thing is that even people with strong immunity are getting affected by the new variant! At the same time, in view of the increasing cases, the Punjab government has also issued guidelines. A new advisory has been issued by the Health Department, in which especially the elderly, pregnant women, children and health workers have been advised to wear masks.
Punjab government issued advisory
In the advisory issued by the Punjab government, it was said that the use of masks should be made mandatory in crowded places, so that infection can be prevented. Apart from this, people have also been appealed to maintain personal hygiene. Apart from this, if anyone has complaints like cough or fever, he should stay in isolation and get treatment and avoid contact with others. Health workers have also been instructed to be extra cautious and ensure regular use of masks and sanitizers. People have also been advised to cover their mouths while coughing or sneezing, wash hands frequently and be cautious in public places.
Corona cases in India
There are currently 7400 active cases of corona in India. The highest number of active cases are being found in Kerala at this time. 2109 people have been found here. After this, there are 1437 cases in Gujarat, 672 in Delhi, 613 in Maharashtra, 180 in Rajasthan, 232 in Tamil Nadu, 248 in Uttar Pradesh, 747 in West Bengal, 527 in Karnataka, 120 in Madhya Pradesh, 97 in Haryana and 102 in Andhra Pradesh. However, 10,976 people have also recovered. So far 78 people have died due to Corona across the country.
