Prayagraj     The issue of contract employees who have been waiting for regularization for a long time has now become nationwide. In many states of the country, contract employees are agitating for regularization. But meanwhile, news is coming that Allahabad High Court has ordered regularization of contract employees. The High Court has given 4 months time for regularization.

According to the information received, the Authority Jalkal Department had fired 23 contract employees in the year 2010, after which these contract employees knocked the door of the High Court. Complainant Satish Kumar told that in the year 2010, the Jalkal Department and the officers together were rigging the salary, EPF, ESI fund of outsourced employees.

Regarding this, 93 outsourcing contract pump operators of the Jalkal department had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court. The petitioners, while presenting their case in the High Court, had demanded to be paid the same salary as the outsourcing contract pump operators of the Jalkal department of Noida Authority through the GEM portal created by the Government of India.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the High Court ordered the Principal Secretary of Industrial Development of the Uttar Pradesh government to complete the process of regularizing the services of the petitioners in their posts within four months of receiving the certified copy of the court. The High Court had also ordered on May 14, 2025 that the services of 23 outsourcing employees of various departments illegally terminated by the Greater Noida Authority should be restored within three months.
