Patna RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's troubles in the land for job case are not reducing. Now ED has issued summons to Lalu Prasad for questioning in this case. ED has called Lalu Yadav for questioning on March 19. 76-year-old Lalu Prasad Yadav will have to appear at the ED office in Patna. ED has also called many other members of Lalu Yadav's family for questioning. These include his two sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.
There is little hope of appearing before ED
According to media reports, despite the summons, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members will not appear before ED. Last year, ED filed a charge sheet against Lalu Yadav and his family members in a Delhi court. The charge sheet also includes the names of Lalu Prasad Yadav's wife and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi, his daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav as accused. Earlier last month, a Delhi court had also issued summons to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, his son Tej Pratap Yadav and daughter Hema Yadav in the land for job case.
Delhi court had also issued notice
Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has also issued summons to Lalu Prasad Yadav's younger son and former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejaswi Yadav and directed him to appear for questioning on March 11. Lalu Prasad Yadav and his two sons have already got bail in the money laundering case being investigated by the ED.
Lalu Prasad Yadav is accused of taking land from people in exchange for jobs or pressuring their families to sell the land at a low price. This scam happened when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister from 2004-2009. CBI has alleged in the charge sheet that as Railway Minister, Lalu Yadav made recruitments by ignoring the rules.
